Cosmetic DentistryIn our offices containing state of the art facilities, we offer a wide range of cosmetic services such as dental veneers, dental implants and mostly sought after teeth whitening plus a lot more. As stated one of the services we offer is Dental Implants. Dental implants are post made of titanium metal that are placed into the jawbone, through surgery. Once this is placed into the jawbone, under the gum line, it will let your dentist affix your replacement teeth or a bridge in this empty spot. Restorations such as dental implants help improve oral health since it gets its support from the jaw and not from nearby teeth.
What’s good with an implant is that it never becomes loose like dentures that can easily fall. Another service that our office offers is a dental veneer. These are wafer-thin shells or laminates (also known or called dental laminates, ceramic sheaths and porcelain sheaths) that are made from either porcelains or resin composites. The main reason for taking advantage of veneers is to improve the look of your teeth if there are discolorations, chips or if it is damaged. Since we sincerely understand the importance of having the best smile, another service that we offer is teeth whitening to top of your fixed and complete teeth. |

Dental Implants
There are many benefits to dental implants making it a popular choice to our clients. Dental implants will provide you with permanent teeth excluding the inconvenience that dentures present. No more worrying about eating anything you want or speaking with missing or loose teeth. No more worrying about accidental denture slips or fall out that is really embarrassing in all angles.
Lastly, with dental implants, there would be no more frustration and pain given by poorly fitted dentures. As we have mentioned initially, dental implants are screws placed in the jaw that are made of titanium metal that comes in different shapes and sizes. These titanium screws are placed in the jawbone by following proper diagnostics and surgery without causing any discomfort to the patient. Once these implants are placed through surgery, healing has to take place, around three to six months, and this will allow the implant to fuse with the jaw through a process known as osseointegration. After healing process and osseointegration, the restorations will then be placed.
The easiest to do are upper jaw restorations and it doesn’t take too much time to be achieved. In all treatments and procedures available, dental implant restorations have proven to be the safest and most successful compared to the others aside from the fact that they look, feel and function just like a real teeth which also lasts a lifetime if taken cared for properly. Now, although dental implants are the best options for restorations, there are times that this cannot be done so easily.
When a person has deficient jawbone, then an additional process need to take place prior the dental implant which is called grafting. If grafting will need to be done, then you will need to wait for an additional 6-9 months more for the healing period. If grafting cannot be done then there are the so-called mini dental implants that are smaller in size and will only require a smaller amount of bone compared to conventional ones. Within the whole procedure, patients and clients will be required several appointments to the dentist to ensure complete and proper healing of the surgery.

Denture Care Center - for seniors
If you are more of a conventional person and would rather have dentures instead of dental implants, then we can also extend this service to you. As we know it, a denture, which is more affordable and do not require an invasive procedure unlike dental implants, can be used to replace one or more teeth. It can be a complete or full denture that is a removable device which can replace lost teeth in either the upper or lower jaw.
Dentures are also known to be comfortable and an attractive dental replacement to have. Dentures that are complet can be supported by implants and are commonly known as an all-on-4 which is the closest you can get to having natural teeth.
Now aside from fixed implant supported dentures there are also dentures that are joined together through snaps. These snaps allow you to move the dentures and put them when you want. So what happens here is the complete set of teeth that is placed in the removable base can be snapped to four or five different implants. Unlike others, our full dentures are designed and equipped to be comfortable and will only require limited dietary restrictions. There is also decrease in oral bone loss if you wish to avail of this procedure.
For partial dentures, these are removable artificial device that is made up of gum-colored base and of course, artificial teeth which is still connected to a metal frame. These partial dentures are built as a replacement for either a single tooth or more as well as protection for those existing teeth by being placed inside the gaps.
There are different types of partial dentures and some of which are cast metal removable partial denture, acrylic removable partial, flexible partial denture, fixed bridge or implant supported fixed bridge. If you are unsure of what to take advantage, it would be the best idea to check this with your dentist's to know more about what is going to happen.

Root Canal Procedure
We offer another service that is an excellent procedure when it comes to saving a badly infected teeth instead of having an extraction and this is a root canal treatment which is also known as the endodontic therapy. In doing the root canal, the natural tooth or your crown, the visible part, is protected by a dental enamel.
For the part that is not visible, which is the one below the gum, it is protected up to the tip of the root by dentine which is another hard substance but not as hard as the tooth enamel. Now inside the tooth there is a long cavity which is known as the canal. The insides of the canal is the pulp chamber - dental pulp. Now the pulp has other matters inside it as well nerve tissues and blood vessels from which the tooth feeds. When people undergo root canal, basically what happens is that the pulp gets infected with the formation of bacterial products and debris.
When this happens, it results to severe and unbearable pain and what needs to be done is the pulp has to be removed to keep infection from repeating. If the pulp is not eliminated, an abscess can develop which will then lead to an extraction. Root canal procedure clears the infected pulp in the tooth which will then result to immediate relief. Also, if you do not want to lose your teeth at the same time save yourself from this daily pain, dentist will give you this treatment instead. When the procedure is to take place, a hole is drilled through the enamel and this exposes the trouble areas. It is nice to know for you and other patients that sedation is possible before the administration of anesthesia.
Now once the hole is drilled, this releases the pressure all at once, inside the tooth and the pain goes away with it. Even when the anesthesia wears out, the patient is already free from pain. Now the tooth that is the subject of the root canal is saved as the nerve tissues and pulp matter are removed. What’s left of the tooth, the canal, is flushed thoroughly and then is sealed with a temporary filling. Once the healing time is done then the tooth will be sealed permanently.

Dental Crowns
Dental crown is another service and procedure that our dentists offer. It serves as a cap to the entire tooth structure which then acts as its protective head and placed on the top or head of the fragile tooth. You have the option to keep it as decorative as you can but at the end of the day, it will do its job of protecting the fragile tooth. There are many benefits to having dental crowns. One of which is that it restores the shape as well as the structure of a broken or chipped teeth. Dental crowns are also being utilized whenever there is extensive stains in the teeth. Dental crowns are commonly being used right after a root canal treatment.
The main reason why is that after a root canal, the tooth becomes brittle and what better way to ensure it stays protected is to have a dental crown, knowing that a crown is shaped like a natural tooth, that means it protects the whole shape of the teeth. Aside from tooth that has undergone a root canal, dental crowns also work best for teeth are extensively filled, more as a reinforcement, because it has a greater risk of being damaged. If dental crowns are not placed, then it can be fractured which then results to the need of extraction.
Dental crowns can be porcelain or ceramic but both can match the color of your natural teeth. Also, dental crowns can be applied or placed in either the front or even molar teeth. If the crown is not going to be placed on an implant then the outer portion of the tooth has to be removed as a preparation prior to putting the crown. A temporary crown is placed while the permanent one is being made. As soon as the permanent crown is ready, the dentist will put it in your mouth and make adjustments when necessary.

Clear Braces & Invisalign
Currently, the best way to fix orthodontic problems such as overbite, underbite and crossbite are the installation of metallic braces. It was so popular that it even became a trend but as time passes, it convinced almost everyone that it really does not add to the aesthetics of your teeth due to the visibility of metal. With this in mind, the dental industry has to find a way of being able to correct the above mentioned problems but at the same time not making the process to visible like braces.
Now, the dental world is introducing ceramic braces wherein the materials used for the brackets that used to be visible is now made of ceramic which matches the natural color of your teeth. The wires are given color coats that also matches the color of the teeth and braces and the elastic bands that actually hold the brackets have been made using either clear or tooth colored materials. Ceramic braces functions just the same way as the conventional ones with the added benefits but taking care of them entails more effort compared to metallic braces.
One thing you always need to remember is that when you have clear braces, you need to be careful with what you eat as there are food and beverages that can easily stain them. There should also be good oral hygiene as well as regular visits to the dentists so that your braces are well maintained. With ceramic braces, you also cannot use whitening toothpastes aas it can lighten the teeth around the braces.
Aside from clear ceramic braces, another option instead of a metallic brace is what we call Invisalign. This is a system of removable plastic aligners that are worn in both your upper and lower jaws in order to strengthen your teeth. One known benefit when using Invisalign is that it is not affixed to your teeth therefore, it can easily be removed when you are to eat, you want to brush your teeth or you want to speak freely.
So how does these aligners resolve the problem? Basically, Invisalign, exerts effort and force on to your teeth so that it makes your teeth move and then correct crossbite, underbite and overbite too. This aligners will need to be replaced every two weeks as once there are movements in your teeth, then a new measurement and specific type of correction has to be in place until you get to your fully straightened teeth.

Dental Bridges
Here’s another common and really affordable solution when it comes to missing teeth - a dental bridge. A conventional dental bridge is composed of either one or more artificial teeth that we also call as pontics. These pontics are kept in position with the use of two dental crowns or also known as abutments.
These dental bridges are made from different types of materials but the most common material is porcelain which gives the most natural look. So how are bridges placed? A traditional bridge is placed by securing the crowns to the teeth on both sides of the gap. In doing this, the teeth on both sides give the much needed support to the new teeth which then results to a more original looking smile, natural eating and speaking abilities.
Aside from placing bridges in gaps, it can also be placed on dental implants which does not require support from nearby, natural teeth. For bridges that are placed on dental implants, the dentist will place the titanium metal roofs, through surgery, in a patient’s jawbone so that it secures the bridge. These restorations are known as the most durable and long-lasting as they are connected with artificial roots.
For the typical bridge that are connected and gets it support from the natural teeth, these natural teeth would need to undergo some preparations before the actual procedure. What mainly happens is that a slight removal from the natural tooth structure is done to make room for the attachment of the bridge. If some cases that there are still tooth exposure, our dentist will need to perform the procedure only after anesthetizing your mouth.
Now, an impression of the prepared teeth is created and this is sent to the laboratory so that the bridge can be patterned accurately. Once the fully prepared bridge is complete, it will be placed by one of our dentists once done with checking the fit and look of the bridge. If the bridge has the perfect fit and look, it will then be cemented to the prepared teeth. This has been popular to some clients and patients because of its durability compared to conventional dentures.

Teeth Whitening
Do you want a fast and non-invasive method to enhance your smile? Then teeth whitening (or bleaching) is something that you should consider. This is another service that our team of dentists offer to both men and women to give them back years of discoloration and staining. One benefit of doing this especially the so-called in-office whitening is the fact that it give a much brighter and whiter smile is just a short period.
This treatment is also known to include accurately and precisely controlled application of relatively high-concentration, peroxide gel that the dentists applies to the teeth once the process of protecting the gums is completed.
Normally, peroxide is known to stay on the teeth for some 15 to 20 minute intervals which also lasts for an hour as the latest. If the stains in your teeth are pretty hard to remove then you might be asked to return for another or a few more sessions with the possibility of take-home whitening.
These take home kits uses a lower-concentration peroxide gel that is also safer to use and stay in the teeth for more than an hour or sometimes, overnight. The gel is applied using customer-made trays that just looks like retainers or the so-called mouth guards. It just follows that the lower the amount of peroxide, then the longer it can stay on the teeth. Should you choose in-office whitening, what you can expect is better results.
During and after the process, the dentists will give you tips on how to properly maintain your teeth and keep it clean as well as unstained. Our staff will also use a stronger gel, compared to take home whitening, which certainly works fast especially when it comes cleaning stained molecules onto the teeth. Our dental experts will also use specific lasers that increases the strength of the peroxide in the gel, giving you more success in teeth whitening within a lesser period of time.
There is also an LED device that is being used to help in spreading the oxygen within the peroxide that will help in penetrating the tooth surface, which will then again increase the possibility of a whiter teeth. For better and long-lasting results, you can ask your dentist about the process of combining both procedures, in-office and take-home for better results.

Tooth Extractions
When a tooth is decayed or damaged, your dentist will try all possible fixes starting with a filling or a crown. Unfortunately not all damages can be fixed by treatments especially if the damage is too much for repair. When this happens, tooth extractions becomes inevitable. Aside from tooth damages, a very loose tooth will also require extraction as there’s no way that it can still be saved.
Aside from these two reasons that we have mentioned, here are a few more scenarios that will require extraction:
On all these scenarios mentioned, the dentist can either do a simple or a surgical extraction, whichever is more applicable to the type of reason that you have. If your tooth is still visible in the mouth, then most often than not, a simple extraction by general dentists can be done. In doing simple extractions, the dentist loosens your tooth using an elevator. After this the dentist will use forceps to remove your tooth.
A surgical extraction, on the other hand, is required if the procedure has to be more complex like having the need to open your gum lines especially if the tooth cannot be visibly seen in your mouth. There are circumstances that the tooth needs to be cut in half or the bone around the tooth just so it can be extracted.
Aside from these two reasons that we have mentioned, here are a few more scenarios that will require extraction:
- Extra teeth are blocking others that are coming, like a baby tooth that has not fallen off and a new one already popping up.
- Patients who require braces might see the need for extraction especially if there has to be a space for the other teeth to move during alignment
- Patients that are under medications and treatment that may develop infected teeth
- Wisdom teeth or the third molars that are oftentimes getting stuck in the jaw
